HS Elite Lacrosse Tryouts
Monday, September 6, 2010 (Labor Day)
 

The Cannons, along side the Razorbacks and other local high school teams, announce the merger of an Elite Southern Maryland High School Recruiting Team. This team will consist of the best lacrosse players in Southern Maryland and will play in 2-3 of the most pristine recruiting tournaments in the country. This is a Varsity Level Team and only those who feel they are Elite Varsity Players should tryout for this team. We are still finalizing details and hope to have more information to share over the next few days, but we wanted to pass on the tryout information ASAP.

Congratulations to the Cannons U11s and Cannons U15s for finishing their summer with title wins at the Battle of Bull Run.

The U11s were at their very best, playing unselfish lacrosse and sharing the lacrosse ball, demonstrating their growth over the course of the summer.

Despite missing a number of key Cannons, the U15s overcame a rash of penalties in the second half of the finals to win their second straight championship. 

The U13 Cannons finished second and completed a successful summer with two championships.

Congratulations to our teams for a terrific performance this weekend at LaxHeroes.

U11 Champions
U13 Champions
U15 Champions

Not only did the teams play great lacrosse, they made a real difference by participating, raising over $19,000 for the Charles County Hospice House!

Congratulations to the Cannons teams for a strong showing at this year's Lehigh LaxFest.

U13 Champs!

Led by the now mohawked Coach Lister and Braveheart specialist Christian Daniel, the Cannons U13s won their first championship, knocking off a number of New Jersey and New York travel squads to capture the win.

In the finals, the team was taken to overtime where Christian Daniel played great defense to win the ball back and score on the one-on-one.

Congratulations!  Coach Lister's haircut looked great!

U11 Runners Up

The U11 team reached the championship game only to come up just short against Team Superstar from Connecticut.  After falling behind early, the Cannons rallied, but came up just short in their final game.

Still, a great 4-1 showing.  Great job, guys!

U15s

A great comeback in their first game against Trilogy nearly kept the Cannons U15 team in the winners bracket, but despite a couple of Braveheart opportunities, the team lost its first game.  The Cannons bounced back to win two of their next three, all close and hard-fought games.  The Cannons showed well against the surrounding states.  Good job everyone!
